Hey guys,
I am not too sure if this was discussed before or if anyone else experienced this. I have been receiving a message to the effect of "Entering Restricted Airspace" while flying the drone lately. However, I am no where near a restricted airspace both according to our local laws and the DJI Geo Zone Map. I particularly notice this when I am using the quick shots option even though (on the drone) my height is set to 400ft (max) and distance at 200 ft (max) which is still very far away from any restricted airspace. When the message appears, the drone stops the operation.

Any info would be much appreciated.

Thank you guys.

The fly-safe app from DJI is NOT the bible for restricted areas, so even if there is no restriction visible there, there could be one in place at the moment of flying.

This being said, NFZ can be installed temporarely for several reasons. This can be a major incident where authories want to keep the air "clean" for emergency services. The best way to check this is to contact your local airspace control and check if there is anything in effect.

I agree completely, but my local authorities have given me a go ahead and their map is updated every time you open the map app. However, I suspect that there might be a military or some other installation that they dont want to tell us about. It wouldn’t surprise me at all.

It is always fun how authorities try to protect certain projects. By creating an NFZ around one, they just cry for attention. What is there that they want to hide?

That is what I like in one of the countries I tend to fly. Before you publish, you send the footage for approval. Now, IF they see some relevant things, they know their camouflage is not perfect, but they do not prohibit your publication, knowing that THEN you would be much more interested in what you filmed.
