Looking at a trip to the Philippines next year and starting to research how easily I might be able to fly my drone there (yeah, I'm planning ahead). We will be staying in/around Anilao and Romblon (far from Manila and other big cities).
I'm planning to take my Mini 3 Pro (249 grams, with a camera). As I understand it, I'll need to register the drone with the Philippines CAAP. Most of the regs seem reasonable and pretty typical: No flying after dark, max height ~400 AGL, stay away from people, stay 10 kilometers from airports, avoid flight over populated areas, etc. Other than that - and the typical common sense things - any other critical restrictions I should know about?
I believe there are local restrictions (notoriously, in Boracay) but I'd like to find an airspace map or some other source to look at before deciding to bring the drone (I mean, if the two places I'll be going have blanket airspace restrictions, there's little point in bringing it).
Does anyone here know of a source for airspace restriction maps/apps/info? Anyone here flown in the Philippines anytime recently? (after searching I see a few posts about flying in the Philippines but those are pretty old and I am hesitant to put a lot of faith in brief reports 5+ years old...).
Thanks for any insights or pointers.
