With the new firmware update, can one fly the mavic mini indoors with no GPS lock?

That is already possible from the very beginning as long as there is enough lighting for the downward sensors.

Yes, but as long as you have 1.0.4 fly app you can override the gps/light warnings.

You get a warning notification in the top left, click that and then you can override it.

I would be very careful with inside low light flying and always use the prop guards. I find that my mini will get erratic in low light areas of my home even with some GPS satellites connected. It seemed to do better before the newest firmware update.

Yes as per firmware says it can be disbled manually via settings
