Mavic Mini Unlock zones waiting for new releases

Thank you for your support in Mavic Mini. Mavic Mini is unavailable to be unlocked currently. We will launch a new version of the aircraft firmware and DJI Fly App in late December to support the unlock function of the no-fly zone. Please pay attention to the official announcement. Thank you for your understanding and support.

So until that, we cannot fly even in a blue zone!

Update - Firmware Release - [OP: Mavic Mini DOES NOT support unlock in no fly zones yet!]

Update - Dec. 31, 2019. Overnight, firmware versions were released. Update 2: Dec. 31, 2019. At first, I could not unlock. Note that depending on your mobile device, you may have to manually update the DJI Fly App. Once I updated the app, I was able to go through the normal process to unlock...

If they add more features, such as ‘follow‘ to the app, it’ll be worth the wait. We can only hope for more and better to come.

FYI, yesterday I took some shots in downtown Tallahassee, FL and didn’t have to unlock my flight. It’s a class C controlled airspace with a 250’ ceiling cell where my flight took place (enhanced warning zone on DJI’s map). As per FAA regulation I requested a flight authorization under Part 107 rules through AirMap’s LAANC which was promptly granted.
