Mavic platinum pro issues.

First of all fairly new to my Mavic Pro, had it a few months still learning all the great things this drone has to offer. Anyways past few times I’ve flown I keep having my phone disconnect from the Mavic return home feature always works but loose video and gps on the screen. Anyone have any clues why this could happen?

If its returning to home and disconnecting, its a problem with your controller and drone, not only your phone. Does the controller say "connecting" when its returning to home?

This sounds a bit like the usual problem with the DJI supplied cable that goes from the micro-USB port on the side of the RC Controller to your mobile device. Remove that cable completely, and get a short USB-A type cable to go from the data connection port in the base of the RC Controller. The cable you have for charging your mobile device will be the right type with a USB-A on one end, and whatever your mobile takes in its data/charging port on the other.
Just make sure that if you use this configuration, remove the stock DJI data cable completely, because that will stop the USB-A cable working if it's still plugged in.

It disconnects randomly not when the return flight home.

Short update cable swap has seemed to fix the issue thanks for your help on this issue hope no more for a while now it’s a scary thought of loosing connection and video feed.

Good to hear - I have had zero connection problems since junking the DJI 'side' cable ... Have fun with your Mavic Pro

try going into airplane mode,my mpp sometimes gets alittle squirrely if i don’t put her in that mode

Another thought to minimize damage to the charging port. Get a magnetic tip micro USB cable and put the tip in the charging port and leave it there. The magnetic tip will not interfere with the RC operation.
I am an Android person (except for display) and even though I am used to polarity I remove the possibility of a brain fade when charging.
Just a thought.
