Mavic pro 1

I picked up a mavic pro that had a bad camera crash. I disconnected the camera and tried to fire it up but with the camera off the controller kept reading connecting? The light on the mavic light and the props go through line up. Is there something to look @ specifically or is it not connecting because of the camera not being hooked up I ordered a new camera but China takes forever. Might it be a WiFi board. Any suggestions would be great
