That looks nice man, job well done. Folds up nicely for sure. Looks like you drilled small holes rather than just through the arms??

Yes, looking forward to seeing your results. I guess you were seeing good results already with dual 1500mah batteries as do I. It's when you scale up past 3000 mah combined on external that the clip mod is no longer working well. Now you could try a single 4000 or 5200mah battery.
Very good results with dual 1500mah

Yeah right below the arms, almost water tight, but it is silconed as well.

Hit 34,500ft out today for a total distance of just under 70,000. Once I get this battery mod optimized I will easily smash the leaderboard record.
nice! what battery was that on? i flew long for the first time today on stock, 21k and hit wind on the way back, would only do 18mph! Landed short and picked it up. I'm looking forward to adding batteries!

Used my multistar 4000mah high density lipo. It's not working well due to my battery clip mod. I usually only use around 60 to 70 % even though the mavic battery is 12% at landing. Once I hardwire the connectors internally, going to get much better results.

Edit: You should avoid range tests that start with tail wind. Start into the wind with p mode and obstacle avoidance off. On the way back with tail wind, switch to sport mode and full pitch.

How did you make the holes? Did you melt the plastic or drill it?
I used a small drill bit and kept working up sizes to fit each wire 1 @ a time, ever thing was stripped and looped, soldered, and wrapped, in all the whole install was about 3-4 hours with a couple interruptions!

Got my Xt30's in, tested today about 27 mins, horrible wind here, had a problem with antenna lines, power Bank dead for boosters all in all bad day to fly, counted my blessing and packed up, will do more testing on a better day.

But got some more pics!

That's good flight time in wind. Wind kills battery life, especially with the extra weight.

This is not an ideal test. The craft needs to be moving at 15 mph or higher. There is too much prop wash when you hover, which is especially bad when under heavy load which makes it even less stable. There will be more lift at speed due moving into clean air. I would expect you to get similar or more flight time while moving at 25-30mph.

Thanks, I am wait come great weather... soon will be summer and low wind (Use wind 0mph - 10mph?) like no wind at all and low wind. for test flight time my 3000 and 5200 with both Sport mode and GPS mode will post here.

Will works with this 3.5Ah 11.2v 60 to mavic with dji battery?
That battery won't work well due to the nature of lithium ion vs lithium polymer. Lithium ion cells discharge down to around 3.2v/cell vs lithium polymer which is 3.6v. This means that when your Mavic battery is running low at around 15%, the external pack will still have 50% capacity remaining (3.7v/cell). You cannot fly the Mavic battery that low.

Here is is my quick flight stat, more like 34minute flight ;-) ~44000ft, landed at 1%. Wire leads soldered directly with 1800mah LiPo battery.
