Mavic pro crash

Very sad day. Just got the magic pro drone after finally saving up for one. I'm not sure what happened, I watch the video I recorded and I can't see what I flew into if anything. All I know is, it felt onto the concrete.

From what I can see the camera gimbal seems to be fine. One of the arms has cracked. It's a clean crack. If I line it all up, if perfectly fits.. is it possible to use JB glue, or is there another type of glue.. or what do you guys recommend.

I posted a video. As you can see, one arm is cracked off dangling. The other arm is in fact, folds in fine. But is missing a piece, which you can see me holding the piece over over to show where it goes.

Would glue do the job, or can I just replace one arm? Would both arms need to be replaced? Even though they are white arms. From the apple version, would it matter if I used platinum or original mavic arm? Is there any chance someone has discord or a video call app, and wouldn't mind taking a look at this for me so that I can fix this properly . I' so sad

Sorry you had a crash that’s not good especially after just buying it. As far as repairs go I would never glue that arm. It’s going to need to be replaced. If you did glue that arm chances are it’s going to come loose in flight and if that does happen you’re really going to be in trouble. And it’s not safe. As far as what arm you use doesn’t really matter they’re all about the same except for the color. And if that camera survived I’d be surprised because usually they don’t work after a crash they are pretty fragile to begin with.

Surprisingly the camera still works fine from the tests I tried. Gimbal moves and resets. I also attached an image of something else I noticed. The motor of one of the arms, is further away from the arm when compared to the other motors. It doesn't push down at all even when I removed all the screws , it doesn't seem to move at all, why is this motors distance so wide. You can see the orange coils.

Ok, what the heck Mavic Pro is that ?
The colour looks raw grey / gray like a mini, but otherwise looks like the M1P . . . is it the Alpine White but just looks off white in the light ?

I think you need to replace the leg(s), as no glue is really going to stand up to the repeated arm movements over time when setting up / packing away.
The left side, it looks like just the body garnish above the arm ?
At just a smidgen after 18 seconds, it looks like it fits better in there, before you take it away completely nad try and refit again ?
If it fits neat, I would use some 5 min araldite epoxy glue on that, if it's got a big gap, it might be a small part, or a larger piece to replace ?
Maybe get a price when sourcing right rear arm, might be nicer to just renew.

The left arm looks like it got a bit damage on the edge? 15 seconds, chips on arm edge ?
If so, that could be a weakened point under pressure (sports mode braking etc).

I wouldn't worry too much about colour, if yours is Alpine white, you might be able to get some arms, but the grey or platinum wouldn't look to far out of place, especially if both replaced . . . might even help see it against light background, white cloud etc.

The motor is not good, when taking apart to change the arm(s), you can pull that down and see if it's something broken, or just misplaced and can be put back.

Just google Mavic Pro arm replacement on YouTube, should be ample tutorials there for a handyperson to do this repair.
Otherwise, @djidroneservice or DJI themselves might be best to send it to.
I take it you don't have Care Refresh ?

It's the apple edition so it's a white grey colour. Can you take a look at my second post, one of the front arm motors, is lifted higher then the other 3 motors. I've taken apart all the screws but nothing moves. Doesn't seem like I can push it down further, yet it appears to be further apart then it should be. Any chance I could do a video call with you?

I saw motor pic, and that's what the last part of my post was regarding.

I'd ask @djidroneservice for an opinion on that, he should get the tag notification and come take a look.
He'd probably have some suggestions for the arm(s) and little body part too.

Might have to wait for them to come online, they are US based.

I'm in Australia, so hard to do anything phone or video, plus I've never really touched the motors or arms before.

Have you done a YT search on Mavic Pro motor replacement ?

It looks to me like the arms and motors are integral, so replacing the arms will automatically have a new motor too.

Idk how to tag people, can you tag him into this thread? Also I have watched videos on replacing the arm but it doesn't show the motor being adjusted. The motor I'm speaking of is attached to an arm that appears to have no damage .. it's just the motor is raised higher then the others.. rather then replace an arm that I may not need to , just trying to figure out how to lower the motor.

Because you are in Oz you maybe able to get the parts you need from DVS in Victoria, they are authorized DJI specialists, Paul or Scott will hopefully be able to help you !
