Here I am again on the same issue. Firmware Vol 1.04.0400 & Vol 1.05.0500
(Corrections VO1.04.0400 & VO1.04.0500)

Last year in August when I upgraded my Mavic Pro firmware to 0400 from VO1.04.0300
the world went gray and muddy on all my photo and video shots.
It took me a long time and effort before attempting on the inevitable ... to downgrade as the warning is still there when you upgrade a new firmware .. "YOU WILL NOT BE ABLE TO DOWNGRADE IT"

I took the bold step after googling and making research on forums and used DJI Assistant 2 and downgraded to 0300. Everything went fine again and the world colour went back to normal and bright.

Then my 2 Mavic Pro platinium batteries I had used swelled and had to switch to new batteries. As I was scared that the batteries would need a new firmware and something like that.... I upgrade my Mavic Pro firmware to 0400 then to 0500.

The world went muddy again. However I am back to my old firmware again after knowing how to downgrade it. But then I had to do a factory reset and after resetting back my old setting, the compass was not done probably, I was unable to fly when I was on an outing which was held only for that moment.

My message in this is that...... do others have this problem using Firmware Vol 1.04.0400 & Vol 1.05.0500 or is that it is happening only to my set?

Just to clarify you mean v01.04.0500 not v01.05.0500 which must be a firmware for a different drone (sounds like a Phantom firmware)?

Nope it is a Mavic Pro firmware

VO1.04.0400
& VO1.0500

(SORRY for the typo error)

Well either I’m going crazy or you are showing me a picture of a firmware list that shows 01.04.0500 not 01.05.0500 but never the less I think that answered my question.

When you upgrade from a 01.03.xxxx firmware to a 01.04.xxxx firmware you need to do the upgrade twice. It’s such a big update that it can’t thoroughly be done in one upgrade. Flash 01.04.0500 twice to your mavic and see if this solves the issue. The second flash will go by quicker because it is only upgrading the parts that didn’t upgrade the first time around.

Once you get it working you can reflash for each battery and then you know everything including all the batteries are up to date

On second look you are actually on 01.04.0300 not 01.03.0300 which is a very different firmware. There isn’t any benefit to upgrading to 01.04.0500 from 01.04.0300 if you don’t use the goggles so if that one works just stay there. That’s tge one I use too.

Thanks very much. I did not know that I have to flash it twice. I will try it again when the urgency is there.

01.04.0300 is what I've stayed at. I was having signal disconnect issues when I updated to .0400.

FIRMWARE UPDATE PROBLEM RESOLVED

As being persistent I have taken the advice of brett8883 and kept flashing on the firmware update.

1. I am using windows 10 and there is a firewall. Ensure it is disabled or set to allow DJI Asst 2 to make changes.
2. I use DJI Assistant 2 (latest version)
3. When the craft or RC is connected for upgrade... click on upgrade. Then reconnect tho it says successful. This time click on refresh current firmware. Do it a few times until successful.

As for me the windows firewall prevented I guess some files to be upgraded. This was because the photos and videos would turn hazy when flying. Now is is a thing of the past and I have upgraded to 0500 version for my Mavic Pro.

Thanks to all who have posted this here or in other forums on this issue.
