I’m prolly gonna catch flack over this but
Keep in mind I’m flying over an empty field.
I just would like to know if others have
Done similar and how do I keep them from crashing?
A couple times when we let off the p3 controls the Mavic was still coming on
Pretty hot...
Any suggestions on how to make this
Work?
Thank u guys

Since an over-shoot during active track on a ground subject is no big deal, when using a small object like the P3 you'll have to make all your moves more slowly to give the machine a bit more time to adjust. I'm thinking that the ground in a normal active-track helps the drone track more accurately.

Thanks for sharing!

Thank u for ur suggestions and u sparked an idea.
Ur right bout the ground so maybe I can fly above and behind with Mav while panning down at p3 with ground in background.
That will help the mav “ see” the p3.
GREAT thinking

I must be missing something here. The Mavic is just hovering according to the ground, and the P3 moving back and forth. The only time the Mavic moved is turning to its left to follow the P3, and when the P3 takes off the Mavic stays there. What did I miss?

Well the Mavic would move a little, stop, move a little stop....
Granted it didn’t work well for sure..
It’s been suggested that I program the p3 on a waypoint or orbit
Mission THEN engage active track and see what it does..
I was on the p3 controls and my son on the Mavic..
Once active track was engaged I would fly the p3 out some and
About the time I would slow down for the Mavic it would come
Barreling up to the p3...
I believe the Mavic does move it u notice building I can see it
Actually flys forward some..
I can always upload the data to know for sure but now it’s just
Not that important because I doubt I continue trying..
As u see in the short video there nearly a catastrophe...
That’s why I’m not eager to try again..
