My Mavic 2 has an issue with its radar display. The red arrow in the radar is supposed to indicate the direction that the Mavic 2 is pointing (or am I wrong?), however the arrow in my radar display seems to point 180 degrees opposite to where the drone is actually pointing, although this appears to be inconsistent as occasionally the arrow will start to drift and may wander all over the place. has anyone else had a similar problem and how did you fix the issue?

Looks like magnetic interference. DO NOT TAKE OFF. It might fly away once the magnetic interference goes away. Try a different spot to take off. And make sure you are not close to any metal structures, or smart watch.

Try calibrating the compass in your phone or tablet.
Google will help you find out how.

The center of the radar is you. If when the AC is physically flying towards you, the AC indicator is pointing center, it is OK.
However the north indicator on the rim of the radar may be inaccurate relative to how you are facing, if your mobile magneto (compass) sensor needs calibration or doesn't exist. If it doesn't exist, radar top will always be north, even when you (not the AC) aren't facing north.

The map can be locked north up, or be face up with your face orientation being what the device compass says you are facing, assuming you have a compass.

I had/have a similar experience. I have the MP1 with Crystalsky monitor, all fine the Attitude meter is fine and shows N .
Since getting the M2p the N symbol swings all over the place around the display.
Apart from the drone everything is identical, I’m not wearing a smart watch (or any) and my phone is kept away. It seems to be sensitive to the Crystalsky and how it’s held, moving the monitor causes the symbol to swing erratically.
I ensured the software was updated and this seemed to fix the problem but it has started to get worse again.
Any technical boffins have an idea please?

Are you saying the N symbol moves around or are you saying the N symbol doesn't point north?
It's quite normal for it move around as long as it's pointing toward north, that's not a problem.

Hi, as I tilt the Crystalsky monitor forwards and backwards, to get a better viewing angle, the N symbol swings around the scale. I’m not moving or turning. Been like this on several sites and only since I used M2p. Hope that helps. Thanks. Peter

Place the aircraft and place it on something. While watching your screen spin in a circle. As you turn you will notice the arrow move also. It is you in relation to the aircraft. This comes in handy when you lose video signal but not Radio Control signal. That arrow will show which way the aircraft is facing in relation to you. It is much less confusing as you get further away from the aircraft?

Mmm may have stumbled upon the answer. Was using a Samsung Tab a which I have discovered, does not have an internal compass so it does not provide orientation for the drone! Doesnt appear to effect return to home capability but makes it difficult to determine orientation when MP2 is out of sight.
