MavicAir RC Issue

Unboxed my Mavic Air today. Got everything setup, batteries charged, new sd card and ready to connect.

Followed the instructions on the GO4 app for a wired connection and got stuck when I got to step 4. Basically when you are asked to connect the RC cable to the phone, nothing happens! The button ‘link to aircraft’ is greyed out.

So I tried a wireless WiFi connection. That works fine, can connect my iPhone X to the Air and fly it but when I go through the menu to link the RC, again nothing happens.

Any ideas guys? Very disappointed with the experience. I quite techy and love my gadgets so I’m quite baffled!

Do not use the supplied DJI cable. Use USB the data cable that came with your phone, plugged into the RC center USB port, and unplug any cable from the side of the RC.

you might have to push button on the rear of AC.

I was thinking that you connect to phone first, turn on remote, start Go4 and it will tell you when to start the aircraft.

And be within 0.5m of the drone with the transmitter...
