My mm tells me my "maximum flight distance" has been reached at about 500 feet. I have the settings set far beyond that and a good line of sight between myself and the drone with no obstacles. It is brand new and operated normally besides this problem.

Any ideas what's going on?

Have you got the FCC or CE model of the MM ?

Where did you buy it, in the U.S ?

I have reviewed that info which seems to be related to "DJI Go' however I use DJO Fly as I have a mini. I still trying though.

Yes.got it figured out.

Is this what you're looking for or is there additional data?

I just took a flight. As you can see it maxed out at about 16 feet.

I was wanting to be able to look at the actual data .. not a screenshot

I apologise up front for my ignorance.

Is this something I can get from Airdata? Because when I hit "data" all I have access to is what I sent.

If I follow the link sent there is only info for Go and if I enter that url I go nowhere.

Ok. Not using the app I was able to find this page. But not sure where to go from here?

Aha...ok...under "notifications" I found this. Looks like the unit is detecting some sort of "payload". I have nothing on it.

That's more than enough screenshots from Airdata.
Can you either post the .txt file or follow the instructions in post #6?

I figured it out.

FYI so you can help the next newbie sans the condsending attitude or wild goose chase....the prop protector is what lowers the limits as the unit detects this to be a payload. Now you've learned something today.

You should read/try(with a mini)those instructions and you'd realize how useless they are.

I figured it out.
Good for you.
If you'd mentioned the prop guards we all could have too.

I have read them, lots of people have read them and managed to follow them.
It's the standard way that members post their flight data when they want help.
Most manage to do in in just a couple of minutes too.

Seems like to ask about the guards would be the first thing you'd do being this is not only the answer, but considering the circumstances, the ONLY answer. Even I, apparently the dumbest person in the room, would know to ask that now that I know it.

Those instructions are different links depending on which version of "go" one has, which is kind of confusing when one doesn't have any version of "go". Further, neither link played any role whatsoever in figuring out my issue. Actually, I figured it out by simply looking at the screenshot you chastised me for sending you which it seems you could have too if you weren't fixated on txt files.

Thanks for making my first experience here so pleasant.

Cheers.

No one here is a mind reader. Trying to come up with Solutions without standing beside you Is not easy. The logs requested would have supplied the answer if you had not come up with it beforehand. Learn how to retrieve the logs before you come back with your next question, which you will. No one was condescending, only a little irritated that you would not supply the files. (Normal procedure). Take care. Fly safe.

...however I use DJO Fly as I have a mini.

Since I, too, was confused by the Go vs Fly app instructions, at first, I was given clarity by sar104 and his instructions, which specifically mention DJI Fly, too. I hope this helps other new Mini owners, who happen to be fairly new to “the ways of DJI” and of this very helpful forum and its members:

I absolutely enjoy watching the NTSB-lIke flight analysis unfold on a nearly daily basis, and hope I’m learning from it all.
