Nice flying, nice scenery. You're going to have a lot of fun.
I saw your compass calibration; you won't need to do that regularly. Your flight controller app might suggest it if there is a lot of metallic objects in the area of your takeoff. The better answer is to move to a less metallic point of takeoff. Calibrations are somewhat over-prescribed on the forums.
Why is the video set into a smaller space with a black border? I thought maybe it was just for the intro scene but it continued with the flight. See if you can scale the video to fill the frame more. It'd be a shame to lose out on all those details you're shooting with the Mavic 4K camera.

In particular I found your point about the video scale intriguing. I don't see it myself but that could be because I view it on an iPad. Are you using a computer monitor or TV?
I wonder if I have the aspect set incorrectly? Either on the app or in my editing software.
Would you mind having a look at my previous vid with my Phantom to see if the same problem occurs there?

Do you usually fly out of the Yaletown area? I saw some one packing up their Mavic there in the evening about a month ago.
Hope we could have a local Mavic meetup some time in the spring when the weather is a bit more friendly.

From what i heard you are not allowed to fly drones in City of Vancouver at all.

Haha, i just tried to advice. But if you think you're smarter then anyone else, good for you. Want to look at your face when you get $25k fine for flying your drone in the prohibited area. Also keep in mind that you are only 2.5 km's away from the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre...just saying
