Metal and Antenna Interference

The mounts are made out of aluminum metal, would any other kind of metal around the antenna be of concern for interference as long as it's behind the antenna? The reason I'm asking is I'm rigging a metal brace to my mount for support.

If the metal ends up grounded, it will make a big difference, sucking much from energy away.
