Just wanted to show some shots of downtown Miami taken with the Mavic Pro 2. I should probably re-shoot these with the Mavic 3's new sensor. @Dale D I'm seeing links to your posts showing up for Miami, so I'll take a look here in a minute. When I took these, I was blown away by how good the image quality could be on the M2 Pro. These are huge, like 50 megapixel images.

I totally agree. It has a 1" sensor and the 28mm lens is sharp, so still a great drone.
And the sensor has 20 true megapixels, no quad-bayer stuff going on.
How many images did you shoot for one of these panoramas?

Those were the 9 image panoramas. I did one of the 180 degree panoramas, but that was overkill and I ended up cropping it down.

And whoa! You can use Litchi with the Mavic 2 Pro! Excellent.
“You can have my Mavic 2 Pro when you pry it from my cold, dead fingers.”
Repeatable, computer previewed missions are alive and well in the freedom of the past.

Your photos are outstanding. Thanks for sharing them.

Glad you liked the photos! :)

The M2 Pro is still a good drone. Great sensor, and the 28mm focal length is useful. It stitches better than the 24mm lens on the Mavic3. I also think it's a smidge sharper than the Mavic3's 24mm lens. The way to get good images with the Mavic 3 is to take panoramas manually, and then HOPE they stitch. I'v had so many stitching issues.

I use a free Microsoft ICE app, which is, unfortunately, no longer available conveniently. I did see a post on this forum that there is still a way to get it, but don’t recall how. It does a great job.
I took some comparable shots and did a very rudimentary test for my own edification and found the M2 to be slightly sharper than the M3E. Using Litchi on the M2 for panos; much better than the M3E using DroneDeploy pano feature.

@PHZ

Yeah, I remember that Microsoft App. I think I still have it on my 8 year old PC.

I don't know about Litchi. I've also gotten some use out of PTGui.

Microsoft Image Composite Editor is still a very good panorama stitching app.
Version 2.0.3 is by far the best, as it has full 64-bit support.
It ca be found here:
