My DJI Mavic MINI 1 is not listed on my DJI Fly app, shall I select DJI MINI SE instead? I haven't fly my MINI 1 for a couple of years, it will be a shame not be able to use it anymore.
You don't select the drone model in the app.My DJI Mavic MINI 1 is not listed on my DJI Fly app, shall I select DJI MINI SE instead? I haven't fly my MINI 1 for a couple of years, it will be a shame not be able to use it anymore.
JUST CHECKED my rc2 both of them and (THE (MINI) IN THERE ,I don't think MINI 1 was ever a thingMy DJI Mavic MINI 1 is not listed on my DJI Fly app, shall I select DJI MINI SE instead? I haven't fly my MINI 1 for a couple of years, it will be a shame not be able to use it anymore.
I put down MINI 1 because I don't want to confuse that with MINI 2,3, or 4. Everyone knows I am talking about the original MINI. I am using the original no screen controller. Surely DJI fly app asks me to choose an aircraft from a series of pics, and MINI (1) is not part of the list.JUST CHECKED my rc2 both of them and (THE (MINI) IN THERE ,I don't think MINI 1 was everI
It only does that when there is no connection to the drone.Surely DJI fly app asks me to choose an aircraft from a series of pics,
I am using the no-screen original remote. So it has to be done on the cell phone app via phone connected to DJI fly. It doesn't have MINI as an option.JUST CHECKED my rc2 both of them and (THE (MINI) IN THERE ,I don't think MINI 1 was ever a thing
My bad then, when I wrote MINI 1, I should have called it the MAVIC MINI, and Mavic Mini is not listed as an option on DJI fly.The first Mini is officially 'DJI Mavic Mini', there is no '1' on it. When the next Mini version came out, the 'Mavic' was dropped and it was 'DJI Mini 2'. The Minis and the Airs both got their own pages at the DJI Store at that time.
The DJI go app ask my to select when I launched. I could not find Mavic Mini, so I chose SE which is the next closest, then it is connected. BUT, I am hesistant to fly, I want to hear if other pilots had this same selection problem first. You don't select the drone model in the app.
When the controller is connected to the drone, it identifies the model and brings it up automatically.
I tried to made it clear in post #2 and #7.The DJI go app ask my to select when I launched. I could not find Mavic Mini, so I chose SE which is the next closest, then it is connected.
Thank you. Let me give it a whirl over the weekendI tried to made it clear in post #2 and #7.
If you have a good connection between the drone and controller, it won't ask you to select anything.
It should do that for you automatically.
DJI Fly, for sure. I had both names confused.@Walnawk,
"The DJI go app ask my to select when I launched. I could not find Mavic Mini,"

I appreciate your efforts, your are very clear all along. I read messages out of order, and sometimes counterpunch replies to every posting without paying attention to who I am replying to. I surely will your advise in mind because it totally makes sense matching my past experiences - the app never really ask me to ID the drone.I tried to made it clear in post #2 and #7.
