Are you flying in Cine mode? After you take off, move the switch on the controller to Normal or Sport and then back to Cine. The drone always takes off in Normal mode no matter where the switch is set. Cine is a lot more comfortable and forgiving than Normal or Sport.

The point is I like the fact that it flies like a cinewoop and I almost cannot resist flying it like a fpv drone
