Mini 2 movie 3.14

I like the video. Good look around! Good story.
Some suggestions, if I may. In the settings, there is a way you set the rate of movement when you use the controls. It helps make smoother movements like yaw.

I agree, I have not dialed in the best settings yet, edited out a lot of jerky movements…..but it was my first real attempt so I’m sure I’ll get better…. The story line manifested it self last night and although a little silly I just thought it might be good to offer a little more than bad flying skills….. in my mind though it almost turned in to a 2 hour movie haha… perhaps too many terminator movies… but these drones do possess a personality, it’s not a giant leap

Btw, I did attempt doing the orbital thing using yaw…. I was successful, just not accurate…. It’s definitely a skill I will have to learn without thinking about it…. Today I mostly just used rotate, fly straight, rotate again… does not make for pretty video but it was safe… terrified to wreck it so staying far away from everything

Different that’s for sure. I liked the premise. BTW you doubled the word “AT” in the opening stanza. If coupled with more exciting and/or cinematic footage you’re onto something quite unique. 👍🏻

Thanks… I didn’t see the typo but know how it happened, was using iMovie instead of buying the better programs yet… there titling was a little limited and was initially trying to force lower case letters which resulted in the double at that I didn’t catch…. Turns out you are stuck with either all caps or all lowercase. Anyway.. iMovie was easy at least to whip something out quickly, I basically loaded the whole 20 minute video and then started dividing it up and deleting the segments til I got down to 3 minutes, exported and then reimported and then started dividing it again for the titles, I just selected a soundtrack from the freebies Apple gives you in that app

It's an interesting concept. Artemis-(in Greek religion) is the god of wild animals, the hunt, and vegetation and of chastity. Not really sure how it fits in with your film.

A few comments to an otherwise interesting film.

Please slow down your yaws! Go to the yaw settings (? ESP) which control the left stick I thin,.k and slow down the rate of the YAW. Also, your horizon is akilter. It slopes down from left to right. You need a gimbal calibration.

I like the theme of the video, like others have said some of the turning wasn't smooth. Will get better w practice.

Artemis is random, I’m a space nut and it’s the name of the return to the moon program… thanks, I’ll do the gimbal calibration next time out and yes I know I need to work on the speeds, I have my up and down gimbal set way too slow…. Only two flights under my belt so still have to learn everything

If you’re an Apple iMac or MacBook user like myself, you might want to consider moving up to Final Cut Pro X. I can thoroughly recommend it as the post editing software of choice for Apple users. Yes, it’s expensive, but only a one time hit vs others that are subscription. Many folk will recommend Davinci, which is free for the base version, and an incredibly powerful movie editor. The only issue I had with Davinci is that it’s a steep learning curve. I tried it three times and eventually went back to FCPX and ultimately was glad I did.

Unfortunately I’m working from my iPad Pro… supposedly lumafusion is the one to get for this platform,it’s 30 bucks so was just waiting because I spent a ton of money this Christmas already, plus was not really ready for another learning curve but I’ll get it eventually…
