Mini 2 Photo Resolution Inquiry

I have my Mini 2 video recording set to 4K. Does this automatically set the photos to 4K as well? If not, how do I set the photos to 4K?

There is no such setting for photos. You can configure the photo settings in this section of DJI Fly.

You're looking for a "4K photo setting" that doesn't exist. I pointed you to the photo settings that are available for configuration.

the camera sensor already is

• Max Image Size​

• 4:3: 4000×3000
  16:9: 4000×2250

• Video Resolution​

• 4K: 3840×2160 @ 24/25/30fps
  2.7K: 2720×1530 @ 24/25/30/48/50/60fps
  FHD: 1920×1080 @ 24/25/30/48/50/60fps

4K resolution refers to a horizontal display resolution of approximately 4,000 pixels.
So shooting jpg or raw 4:3 pr 16:9 is max image size and better resolution than video

For pictures you best set them in 4:3 mode. The 16:9 mode is just cropped so you have less area covered on your photos. One disadvantage is that on a smartphone you see a bit less of the neighbourhood you are actually flying.
