Mini 3 pro and wind

Excellent post. Would read again.

I've flown the Mini 3 in breezy conditions and it handles well but I wouldn't go pushing it beyond what it's designed for because you may loose it. There are some decent tests on Youtube to learn from so why take the risk?

Ray Maker is awesome and I love those videos... HOWEVER... there is a big difference between steady state winds and gusts. If steady state wind exceeds 36-38 mph you WILL lose the drone because that is the top speed of the drone in calm wind and so the wind will push it away from you and if you go full speed into the wind you will lose ground no matter what you do. 50 mph steady wind? The drone will fly away from you at about 12-14 mph even when pushing full speed INTO the wind. That isn't good! Now luckily that is pretty rare and even on the days you get 50 mph gusts the steady winds are 20-30 mph so while the drone may get shoved out of place (like in Ray's video) you can get it back. Just be careful! And always fly INTO the wind after takeoff never downwind because you may be surprised when you don't get it back before the battery dies.

Sorry I didn't see the other thread on the video until now, my other mistake was seeing 50 km as 50 mph lol. I should never post a thread at the very end of a lunch hour. I was just very surprised by how well this drone handled wind in the video.

Have to not agree on the awesome part, way too much talking while looking at the camera and waving around the remote.
Then wondering why the signal strength is all over the place on the mini 3 pro.
Just my thoughts.

Was this a Mad Men style lunch?
