As previously posted my Mini 4 Pro (purchased in March ‘24) and RC 2 remote developed connection problems. After contacting the official DJI service center I was informed that my Care Refresh did not cover repairs/replacement of the RC 2 remote!? Also that any repairs to the RC 2 plus postage etc would be at my expense!? This came as a big surprise to me as I always thought that CR covered everything. Fortunately I purchased the Mini 4 Pro from Amazon. They immediately took action and yesterday my Mini 4 was returned to me with a brand new RC 2 remote. Like most of you out there I am a big fan of DJI but if I had returned the Mini 4 Pro to them it would have cost me a new RC 2 remote €369 ($413) plus postage. Frankly I am disappointed that DJI would not cover the cost of the RC 2 remote. The next DJI drone that I purchase will be through Amazon again and not directly from an official DJI store.

I flew the Mini 4 Pro from my garden this morning and all is ok. I really like this drone in spite of the RC 2 problem.

Hang on tho dude - this should have been be a repair under standard warranty shouldn't it ? There shouldn't be any servicing going on when something within the initial warranty period stops working - it should be replaced by DJI on receipt of the duff one, surely ? Which should only cost you the postage of sending it in to them... so I'm confused about why they thought it was a repair, and why you would be chargeable for that within warranty period. I don't have Care Refresh with my Mini 4, but I would fully expect them to give me a new RC if this one packed up in the first year !

Anyway, glad Amazon sorted you out !

Like you I thought the same until I spoke to DJI service in Madrid and they told me the the RC 2 was not covered. Anyway I got a new remote thanks to Amazon and I am just pleased to have the Mini 4 Pro up and running again. Thanks for your concern.

Need to clarify: Not covered by Care Refresh (true, only the aircraft is), or by warranty (everything in the box is)?

If the RC was within the warranty period, DJI will fix or replace it free of charge. Been there.

If it was covered under warranty, the mistake here was trying to correct it through a CR claim. Unless you mentioned warranty, I'm not surprised the bot on the other end of the interaction didn't offer that as an alternative.

As mentioned I bought the Mini 4 Pro from Amazon. When I contacted the DJI service center in Madrid they didn't mention warranty just CR? So I went the Amazon route and was rewarded with a new RC 2 remote. It was less hassle and worked out well in the end.
