Has anyone had an issue with the female end of the screw that attaches the propeller? My last blade change one of the screws kept going in crooked as if it was cross threading, I finally got it to go in correct. I think this will probably be an issue in the future so has anyone ever just replaced the part that the propeller screws into, and if so where can I get it. DJI is useless.

@rscheff unfortunately the screw goes into the top of the motor itself ,you would have to get a complete arm with motor attached the screws are very easy to cross thread,and its difficult to tell if its going in straight due to the thread lock on the screw, a little trick i use is just with the screw only turn it into the thread a couple of turns, as you can see it going in square without the prop in the way then when you introduce the prop it should give it a start to go in correctly

When I insert the screw I turn it backwards for a 1/4 turn until I feel the screw drop into the thread then start to tighten.

I also SWEAR by this to avoid cutting a new thread when using 'self tappers' screwing back into a plastic mount.

To the OP I'd suggest you start looking for another motor. Be sure to get the correct handing i.e. clockwise vs anticlockwise although it might be a useful idea to ask around if it is the actual motors that are handed or just the wires that lead from them to the circuit boards etc

but if you use one it might be better to balance the 'load' on the drone by using one on the diagonally opposite motor as well. I think I have seen weights in some of the adverts

The motor rotation is decided by the three wires soldered to the circuit board. The motor will spin no matter what way you connect the three and you have a 50 % chance of getting it right. You can't harm the motor so if it spins the wrong way, just reverse any two of the wires (any two) and re-solder.
