Minimum iPad Requirements - RAM and Storage

I am looking to get a used iPad Mini for my M2P, which will be used solely with the drone. As the iPads come in various configurations, i.e. RAM (1 or 2 GB) and Storage capacity ( 16, 32, 64 or 128). I am trying to get a better understanding of the minimum I could get away with, without compromising functionality of flying with maps etc. I am not sure how much capacity is taken up with all the necessary apps, and there are few worthy apps to have available. RAM availability might be important for map refresh etc. Could anyone throw some light on the minimum RAM and Storage the iPad should have, taking into account that it will be solely used with the drone and nothing else.

16GB is plenty of space if you're going to use your iPad Mini only for flying (or to also install others apps that don't require much storage space). If you're going to use your iPad Mini to store videos/photos and edit them, then you probably want something larger than 16GB.
