Mission Planning with Point of Interest

I’m new to the DJI smart controller and the mission planning app. I have no trouble setting waypoints but I thought if I designated a Point of Interest the camera would point at that location during the flight. My first test flight didn’t work that way and the camera remained pointed at the direction of the flight. Anybody who can tell me what I’m doing wrong?
