more RAM less latency?

I'm using a tablet with 2 gb ram and slight latency, it's quite manageable but if I get a tablet with 4 gb ram will there be less latency?

Not necessarily, there are couple of reasons for latency - transmission speed (depending on the distance, bandwidth, interferences) but also CPU capabilities (supported internal commands, number of cores, their speed and so on) of the drone and its controller - fixed if we speak of the particular drone model eg. Mini 2 - and the "monitor" ie. phone/tablet. I have no idea about the memory usage by DJI's Fly app on your tablet. There is a chance that the app requests a lot of it and the start of the app is slow (cause the previously run apps must "go away"), but "in-flight" latency is a rather problem with the aforementioned transmission and device speeds. So the same tablet model with a) 2GB RAM, b) 4GB RAM might gives you (almost) the same experience if it is the only difference between them.

many thanks for your very detailed reply, as I said on my samsung tab A 8" it's very manageable, (I've seen worse) so I'll settle for what I've got.
