Greetings. While metal detecting the bottom of the Kern river in Kernville Ca. I found a Mavic Pro.

Sad day for the owner loosing the Mavic Pro, hopefully you find the owner.

I live about 80 miles from Kernville, fly the Mavic 2 Pro and also metal detect that area. 1858 Butterfield stage line ran further down the mountain from Kernville, south to north Bakersfield to Fountain Springs, Porterville, Visalia etc. A lot of history out there many gold mining towns in that area.

Maybe someday we’ll cross paths out metal detecting, good luck hope you find treasure.

Well that was some pretty high risk flying there. Without a complete scouting trip on the flight path you run the risk of having that happen. There is no way that you can truly understand what you might be flying into flying that low if you don't have a view of it first hand. I also didn't care for flying under the bridge. I have never done that. Anyone else have issues flying underneath a bridge like that. For certain you would lose GPS.
