Mt Mugga Mugga, Canberra, Australia

Is anyone interested in why it's called Mt Mugga Mugga?

Mugga Mugga is an Australian Aboriginal term. There are a number of possible meanings.

It could refer to Eucalyptus sideroxylon, or Mugga, Red Ironbark or Mugga Ironbark.

It appears that the name "Mugga Mugga" depends on whether you use the vocabularies of Ngunawal/Yass or on those of Ngarigo/Monaro. It therefore can mean snake, a specific kind of snake, or lizard. A number of landmarks in Canberra use the term.
