What a great flight. Once again something only a drone can do. (with a good pilot).Buckle up for an early morning flight to explore the desert basin and upper reaches of Mt Wilson and Red Rock Canyon. Check out the wild Burros along the way!

Awesome! I hiked up to a ledge just south of Gunsight Notch last year and somehow got off trail and had a heck of a time getting through the brush to get back down, man it is thick in those canyons. I have seen climbers up on those walls and peaks a few times with the drone and really admire their skills. ThanksVery Cool, I just got back from climbing a route that traverses the whole of Mt. Wilson. . .3 summits and a couple incredible pinnacles. . Beautiful place, nicely flown!
Thanks, it was a fun flight. What a great flight. Once again something only a drone can do. (with a good pilot).

My flight was Mt Wilson inside Red Rock Canyon in Nevada. Mt Wilson above L.A. is cool but is around 7000' elevation and well forested up there. I have never droned up there but I use to hike up there a lot. Near Mt Wilson summit there is a place called Red Box which has a parking area for hiking. There is a good trail that goes down 2500' below to an old abondoned Casino that was popular back in the 1930's, they had rail cars that would take wealthy folks up there to gamble from the city below. Most of the rails were later removed for iron for WW2 so mostly only the foundations remain. Anyway, as memory serves I believe there are some great places with good views on that road that would provide great drone flying with great views. Happy flying!Thoroughly enjoyed the video. I'm going to be out in LA visiting family for two weeks and would love to do some flying around Mt Wilson. Any suggestions on places to take off from? Thx.
