I believe the latest update for the Smart Controller, you need to use Assistant 2.

A few people have reported that they did it via wifi from the controller itself. I had enough trouble using Assistant!

I have tried to update the Smart Controller but it refuses to connect to WiFi saying there is something wrong with the connection. Everything else connects to WiFi just fine!
