My 1st Hardware Failure, M4P

I have purchased 9 DJI drones since 2014 and today was my first hardware failure. I tried hooking up my M4P via USB to my laptop to download pics. Nothing popped up in my computer. It seems to have a connection as it was charging. After diagnosing, swapping devices and cables I found out it is a bad USB cable, the one that shipped with the M4P. Lucky that was all it was.

DJI doesn't make cables, so it's not really their failure, but good to know. They also obviously need to address this with their cable supplier.

My first M4P (ordered from Korea) suffered an OA failure, all the OA cameras were showing blank black picture, downgrading, upgrading FW did not help. I ended up sending the drone back to Korea as a warranty claim (I do not wish anyone those nerves I had to go through) got a brand new replacement, so I know very well how it feels to get a faulty unit. I own multiple DJI drones myself, have an Air 3S also Avata 2, no issues with any of them. Just a bad luck here I guess...

Various DJI products, or products in general?
With DJI, it makes it that much harder when we have no warranty service available in the U.S..

Products in general. I’m active in a few other niche technology based interest groups and there have been several products launched recently that had an unusually high number of users complaining that the product came with faulty USB C cables

Thanks for clarifying that it is only faulty USB C cables in products in general, and not other issues with various other DJI products.
