I took my mavic to my cousins golf course to get some shots o the course and the old barn they have. It was going good till I was trying to get shots of the barn.

Not to much damage. was an easy fix.Oops.... too much concentration on keeping the barn centre of shot without looking at the drone?

Ahh, the old flying sideways into the tree routine. Did that with my Phantom 2, and nearly did it twice last week with the Mavic. I was flying the same kind of POI shot, around a tower, when the top of a tree suddenly filled the screen. Missed it by 1 foot. Had to wash my underwear twice to get the stains out

You totally lose situational awareness and these sort of crashes are the result.
Walk around with a set of blinders on for a few hours and see how many things you bump into.
