I SCREWED royally!

Tried to attach a ND Filter to the Camera.

Now I'll have to send my Mavic Air2 in for repair!

Did not realize this thing is all that sensitive.

?? A little more detail. I attached ND filters all the time. Never had a problem.

What happened? I keep a ND4 filter on at all times. When I put it on for the 1st time it was extremely tight. Thought I might break a tab but it finally snapped into place. I haven’t tried to take it off.

the first time I removed the "stock" frame around the lens, it was quite tight, but subsequent removals and installs were much easier

All these DJI cameras are able to accept filters. There are some brands that may present issues. For information may help solve what may be going on.

Sounds like he exceeded one or more gimbal axis travels, enough pressure to damage or break it. Maybe he will say....

The Mavic Air 2 was NOT powered up. I was indoors and out of ignorance tried to install the lowest ND value filter.

I have indeed flown my Air 2 without the camera gimbal assembly. So the UAV is functioning.

I *may* attempt to put this assembly back on the Air 2.
