By the way. Today is the first time with the galaxy tab A 8 tablet. Works perfect. Much better to see what your doing

Glad everything is working out for you. Especially happy you obtained LiPo bags for carrying the spares. That will NOT prevent the batteries from burning but you made a wise purchase on the bags. Good on you!

All batteries have the potential to be dangerous no matter what the chemistry.
True; 18650 batteries are also popular in vaping pens and "mod boxes" and in laptop battery packs, and there are plenty of reports of those exploding. However, it's typically because an unprotected battery was overcharged with a charger not designed for that purpose, or because the plastic wrap has been damaged, or because it was just a cheap battery with poor quality control that shorted out internally. Whatever the reason, it is possible for an 18650 to get hot enough to ignite the electrolyte, but I'd say the Mini's batteries are pretty safe as long as they are undamaged and charged with a DJI charger.

My new drone setup. Got a smaller case for more compact and dont have to remove sticks. Can just carry the extra batts in pocket or wherever.

Only used this in the cold so far when out on snowmobile.

Is it really such a big problem removing the sticks, i think its really good thing to remove no matter what, it takes 10 sek ???

Hi @calltrex

Couple of questions if you don't mind.

1/ Using the Tab A 8, is the Aircraft Orientation indicator (bottom middle of screen) functioning properly?

2/ Would you be so kind as to post a link to the actual cable you are using?

Many thanks!

OK....great. Thanks for that speedy response. I have been able to find the same cable from the same seller on Amazon.com (US).

It would be interesting to see if the Orientation indicator works with this setup. There's quite a few of us Android users who have been having problems with wrong indications. I was actually about to pull the plug on a used ios device to use with the Mavic Mini, but really would prefer to stick with something Android.

Anyways........

Again, many thanks!

Check next time I fly. The androids have gps built in. Apple you have to get the cellular version to get gps in I believe

The issue is not GPS but the lack of a compass in most noncellular Android devices, while all iOS devices have compasses, but only cellular iOS devices have GPS.

You may find this cable (or any of the options) works for you, at the US Amazon: cable
