New NASA Tech Kills Trespassing Drones Without Touching Them
I wonder if DJI is building towards, or may have incorporated similar in their firmware. Sounds like some "fails" pilots have reported near bridges or airstrips.
I also highly suspect "back doors" where a powerful signal could swamp the receiver and issue a shut down command irregardless of pairing.
I'm hoping any such code can be removed from hacker release of firmware alternatives for DJI products. I'm not into unsafe flying or illegal activities, and will likely be an early adapter of micro ADSB should it ever come to fruition. I just don't want others to have access to wrecking my $1000 quad, LE, Military, or nefarious ne'er-do-wells.
