Need intenet to fly now

Pardon me but I would like to see the question you asked please.
I found my original question to DJI. Here it is: The storage full message turned out to be because my 8gig internal memory was full so I fixed that. Then no more message.

I flew my Mavic 3 Pro for the first time in over 4 months. I have to admit I didn't take proper care of it during this time. It was uncovered and got very dusty and dirty. I cleaned it off with a wet cloth. So I took it outside and it sent my phone a text to unlock the airport. I did a short test flight. The only problem was there was a message in a brown box saying storage full, even though in settings it showed over 200 gig of storage. But it recorded OK.
Now I have a new apartment about a mile from my house which has no wifi. When I tried to fly it said not logged in. Obviously I'm not always going to be flying places where there's no internet. Fortunately I had my phone that has internet, and I created a Hotspot which allowed me to fly.
My main problem was the video kept stopping. It just froze up in till I landed. When I landed, it would start working again. But it froze up about 5 times. As you know this is not acceptable.
I sprayed my SD card and it's socket with contact cleaner, but this didn't help. I think I had this problem before, and the solution was to switch to the built in memory and then back to the SD card. I will try that.

But the main two problems are the video freezing and needing internet to fly when it's saying I'm not logged in.
Ok, I think I understand why DJI gave you the "answer" they provided. o_O

And that's why you were logged out.
It had nothing to do with not having internet.

You don't need internet to fly ... just to log in after you haven't flown for several months.

using your phone as a "hotspot" maybe and other networks around you would be a more likely explanation.
I used to stream music on an Iphone in my shirt pocket while flying,, I got a noticeable lag and stopped streaming while in flight..might be whats happening too you.
Yes DJI thought it was an internet problem too. But I think it's because I left it out to collect dust for a long time. That place where the gimbal connects to the main body has a lot of cracks and crevices where dust can get in and maybe block electrical connections. I'm going to spray that area with compressed air.

Another thing. I stored
my mini 3 pro in a camera bag for a long time too without flying it. When I took it out to fly, all these ants started coming out of the DJI RC. It worked OK though, and asked me to log in. Then I charged it and when it heated up, the ants seem to have left. I have an upcoming trip to an ocean area. So I will put everything in double plastic bags to protect them from ocean salt spray.

I got another stupid response from DJI support today. Two days ago the video froze about 5 times. To me it has to be a hardware problem. But they said it probably was an internet problem. After I questioned them, they sent me another email today.

Dear Customer,

Greetings from DJI Support!

The freezing of video during transmission can occur due to internet connection. Because the RC needs to be connected to a mobile app through mobile device. But if you will need further assistance, please send us a video recording for us to review.

Please don't hesitate to contact us should you require any further assistance.

Thank you for choosing DJI and have a great day ahead!

So this is ridiculous! They're saying if you're flying without internet, your video can freeze up. Unbelievable!

I Thought of something else. I'm probably the only guy in the world who has owned 4 different Mavic 3 Pro's! I bought the first one in Thailand. They I lost it here on a out of signal range way point mission, but they replaced it for free since it was under warranty. Then that one I crashed into a elevated rail station under construction. They found it, but it was beyond repair. So I had to pay for a new one. Then a few weeks later I took the new one to a beach resort and flew after the light got too low for obstacle avoidance to work. So it crashed in a jungle environment, and even though we had the last GPS coordinates, we could never find it even after looking for 10 days. So even though it was totally my fault, they replaced it for free! Another thing is, I've lost all four of the horseshoe shaped things that holds the gimbal in place. I hate that they make them black, because I frequently forget to take them off and get a gimbal overload error. One I tried to paint yellow, but I can't even find it now.

The rep misspoke. The freezing of video during transmission can occur due to poor connection between the drone and the controller; this connection is not internet, but runs on similar frequencies as wifi.

You just need internet on the controller to login either every 30 or 90 days (I believe the official documentation says 30, but a DJI rep on the forum stated that it had been changed to 90 in one of the recent app updates).

But the freezing here isn't from the transmission to the controller. The drone itself stops recording. So even what's recorded to the SD card is frozen.

Oh I misunderstood. I have no idea why that is happening, but I can tell you it doesn't have anything to do with an internet connection.

You actually don't want to do that. Only use air as a last resort and then never the canned stuff as too much air pressure will blow dirt into things you dont want it too!
Go to the Dollar store and get some cheap bristled paint brushes...then brush the dust and grime as best you can. (hold the drone above you and brush if it helps. dont hold the drone upside down and brush dirt in..brush away from the Drone.

Agreed, and especially not that "canned air" which often isn't air but some sort of compressible-to-liquid CFC or something, and it gets really cold when expanding.

However, the drone does fly forward at 40+ mph, so it's probably fine to blow a hair-dryer -- at plain air setting no heat, most have it -- at it face-on and blow out dust, etc. through the normal cooling airflow paths.
