Seeking some help and advice. Both my Air2S and Mini 3 Pro are grounded right now.

First, my DJI RC is not able to calibrate. The right stick won't register left and right motion. From something I saw I think their may be a loose connection ( I can hear something softly rattling in the controller.) My plan is to send this controller into DJI for repair; and in the meanwhile I purchased an RC-N1C. I believe I need to update the firmware on the RC-N1C; but I can't seem to get it to update. I have connected via my phone and tried to plug it into DJI Assistant 2. When I connect it to the DJI Fly App it automatically jumps to a screen that indicates its trying to connect to an Air 4?

Second, on my Air2S I am getting a gimbal calibration fault. Any ideas on how to fix that other than mailing it in?

Thanks in advance!

Updating can sometimes be a huge pain some things that will help could be:
Make sure you are using the latest version of the app.
Do not use a VPN
Make sure all devices are connected to a good stable connection.
Make sure your Batteries are topped off.
The Most common reason for update problems....Try a few different cables once you find one that works MARK IT.
The last thing you can try is a "hard" restart. This is done by turning on the remote and letting the Battery drain until the remote shuts off. You must be cautious if you let it drain too much you will kill the battery and have to replace it.

What gimble error are you getting?

The 40021 error is a serial mismatch error Did you replace something? and can only be resolved by sending it in or paying a service. 30064 is triggered kinda like a switch when anything at all prevents starting most likely its due to the Hardware mismatch error. (40021)

Well that’s weird. No changes. In fact I landed - swapped batteries and got the error. Briefly today - after an imu calibration - the 40021 cleared but the 30064 stayed. The gimbal is working when I power up the drone but won’t tilt up/down from the remote.

Things you should check for:
Is your App up to date?
What SD card do you have in the Drone? Try another.
Is the location you are flying close to a restricted zone?

Thanks for taking the time to help me through this. I wiped everything clean and did a factory installation and updated both drone and and controller. I pulled the micro sd cards from both in an effort to make sure that wasn’t a tripping issue. But I use Lexar Gold micro sd’s in everything.

I am close to restricted areas (Annapolis, MD); but not in one.

I was literally flying; landed; swapped batteries; and couldn’t take off again.

If I could get this RC-N1C to connect at least I could ID if it was a drone or a controller issue. Grrr.
