Need to register a Tello in UK?

Hello!

I'm wondering if DJI Tello needs to be registered with CAA UK? On one side, it's a toy which is exempted but it has a camera.

Any advice please? Thanks.

Thanks @old man mavic , that's exactly what confused me because there is nothing on the Registration requirements : Flying drones and model aircraft | UK Civil Aviation Authority that says any drones with a camera need to be registered at all. If we look at the Weight Requirements table, the Below 250g - *NOT* a Toy has two rows for having and no having a camera, while the Below 250g - Toy only has one row, so the way I understand it is if it's toy, the camera doesn't matter.

i think you will find that its all about whether or not a camera is fitted that makes a difference as well as the weight in the 250g or below segment and the fact that it can capture an image that can be viewed after the event, i would think that a small mini whoop, FPV acro drone that has a camera that shows its position to the pilot during flight ,but does not actually record an image would possibly fall outside of the registration regs but i could be wrong

I personally don't consider it a toy, mainly because of it's vision stability, but it does lie on the border of a toy.

If it could record to an onboard SD card, that would make it a perfect, very affordable, entry level drone.

Even a breeze is a problem for it though, especially as the battery charge gets to the end.
