I never used obstacles avoidance sensors on my FPV - always fly in S mode - And it Flyes and I put him in crazy places with a lot of confidence and up to now with 100% success - APAS requires a lot of space and is Very shaky (if You looked closely You'll see going all over the place - that's was not me ) and another problem is the visibility of fine branches and wires on a small screen - while on goggles You can see them all - different beasts!
