You can wait until spring. The batteries are sold in a preservative state of hibernation, that they are best left in, until first use. They have a 6 month warranty, so, if for any reason they won't charge out of hibernation, you are still within the warranty period for replacement.I just purchased an Air 2S combo. Considering our snowy and cold Midwest winters are not ideal for flying outside I thought I would not charge two of the three batteries Until spring.
