I just purchased an Air 2S combo. Considering our snowy and cold midwest winters, that are not ideal for flying outside, I thought I would not charge two of the three batteries until spring.

My question: How long can a new, uncharged, battery last?

Air 2s batteries have a bms that will partially discharge the batteries if they're not used for a period of time.

But more to your point, the new batteries are already partially charged. Lion batteries don't like to be left uncharged.

You might read the instructions that came with your batteries? At least mine did.

You can wait until spring. The batteries are sold in a preservative state of hibernation, that they are best left in, until first use. They have a 6 month warranty, so, if for any reason they won't charge out of hibernation, you are still within the warranty period for replacement.
