Not that I know of. I'm pretty sure it's the same for new or old batteries. Just plug em in.

After you charge them you should put them in the drone while connected to the internet to see if they need a firmware update.

Sometimes it takes several minutes for the batteries to start charging. My have to put in the drone then turn the drone on.
