Sorry I could not locate a thread for Mavic 4 Pro firmware updates. Was charging MP4 batteries last night and saw a firmware update available notification. The latest firmware is meant to sync up various modules within MP4, apparently not all of them were on the same version, per DJI notification. Following the MP4 update, the RC2 Pro controller also indicated a software update for DJI Fly. Both done here.

Experts out there can analyze and report changes if any.

What is the firmware version and have you flown it since the update to check for any problems?

A firmware update poped yesterday, I check the "what's new" , out of three things:

the "new possibility to shoot vertical but using landscape mode cropped", was in fact already implemented on mine, weird.

The second "New" function is "the possibility to switch camera while filming" and here is a dark joke with a weird humour trolling level from DJI... it's only a script that STOP recording, switch lense, START recording. So a fluid focal change on a movie is not yet available, this is a false annoucement.

We are far from a usable progressive zoom in or zoom out like the "Explorer mode", that allows Dolly zooms but not in Dlog, not in 60 or 120 fps,

Another function unlock announced is the Dynamic Home point when using the RC2, did not try, but this i really really a good point.

If only they kept the mini 5 pro guimbal style on this Mavic 4 pro, without this useless gimmicky rotation thing almost nobody will use apart from the commercial squad aka Youtubers.

I really hope they will finish this Mavic 5 Pro before releasing and abandonning dev for the Mavic 5 Pro
(Like they abandonned the Mini 3 Pro without giving it simple functions he could have)

Oh no! Don't even talk about the next Mavic Pro; lets get value out of the Mavic 4 Pro for at least a couple of years. Drones models are becoming like fishing poles or Apple iPhones, new ones faster than we can use them. lure of upgrades for suckers like us with or without disposable income, Vehicles, homes, cell phones, fishing poles, rc planes, audio equipment, lawn mowers, spouses (for many), too many upgrades to keep track of and afford ;)

Yep... I agree... I could accept the release of unfinished products if they were honnestly pursuing the dev, but they abandon and that is really something Apple-style that is getting annoying.
I did not buy the RC Pro because I felt something wrong, and indeed, it's less compatible than other entry level radios, that's not right, I bought the M4Pro becaise I have the Mini 5 Pro and so the RC Pro2 will be Okay for my 2 drones.

But when I see the radio frequencies used by O4 and O4+, compared to O3 / O3+, it's not a hardware issue , it is a CHOICE to not make RC 2 / RC Pro 2 compatible with the O3 ecosystem, and that is a DJI behaviour that I do not like.
( like the functions retained like the waypoints that is ONLY software based, I mean... oky I understand but we also payed before... anyway. )

Concerning the M4P firmware, I really hope we'll get a lense swap while filming, I admit that it is something I did not check before use, it was SO obvious that it would do it.... but it does not.
And I would love to be able to click on the 2,5x or 6x to jump, or be able to zoom progressively and it swaps when reaching the 2,5x and same for 6x, and same in dezooming.
( on my Nikon there is an intersting function, let's say we film in 4k, hile having a 6k sensor, we can magnify / zoom into the image without loosing the 4K only by using oversampled/whole sensor, and progressivelly only using a 4k area in the middle of the sensor, that would allow the 1x to 2,5x perfectly lossless )
