Well as I stated earlier, I FINALLY got my RC to connect. NOT,with my note9 but, with a new Levant 10. I would still like to be able to get my note 9 to connect. Any ideas (that actually fix the problem) would be very helpful. Thanks,

Is the Note 9 on the DJI Approved List? If so, then it should work. How old is it, is it 32 or 64 bit / etc? if FlyApp loaded fine, then it should connect.

I like my Lenovo 10 FHD and it's dedicated to the drone and have no issues other than bright sunny days and some glare. Yet compared to my Motorola Z phone - worlds apart.
