Hi,

Ive owned my MA2 for 3 weeks now. I still can't believe how much fun it is and what such a small bundle of plastic is capable of! I left the gimbal cover on last night when started it up. A warning came up on my screen saying "gimbal Locked" or words to that effect. I took it off and flew around for a bit, I didn't notice anything that seemed damaged but is it possible I have damaged something?

Thanks

Most likely not.
Welcome to the forum.
I hope you will find our site helpful and look forward to any input , photo's/video's you might post .
Don't be shy and ask anything if you can't find it by searching . ?

Welcome to our forum, Gav, from Hauptmann in North Texas!

The MA2 is a great machine with a great camera. Lots of cool stuff to shoot in your part of Hampshire. We've ALL taken off without removing the Gimball cover. Don't worry about it.

Read the manual (link below), and be conservative at first. Practice using "Find My Drone". Don't wait until you lose your MA2 before you try to learn how to find it. We have over 100,000 members worldwide to help you advance as a pilot and photographer. Ask for help when you need it. Share your work when you can.

Thanks for joining!

Welcome to the Forum from South Florida. I have a Phantom 3 Pro, and MA 2. The Mavic for me is easier to fly and it's packed with technology the Phantom doesn't have. There is loads of advice an information from an amazing group of Pilots on the Forum

Welcome to the forum fromChicago the Windy City.
If you forget once or twice, should not hurt. Come up with some kind of device to remind you that gimbal is locked.I painted my plastic cover RED, when my gimbal is locked. Other pilots have come up with other ideas, it will to damage to the gimbal if you keep forgetting to unlock it.
