Probably repackaged at Customs.
This was shipped directly from Adorama's warehouse in TN, with Adorama tape and Adorama packing pillows, so it would have no reason to go through Customs between TN and CA. Any Customs repackaging would have taken place on it before Adorama shipped it to me, during mass shipping from DJI Canada of a plethora of Creator Combos to Adorama. DJI box inside was still factory sealed.

I'm very happy for you. Enjoy.
I already am and I will be. All the notes on the cardboard etc. are already irrelevant. The only thing that bothers me will be the input in a new laptop, graphics card or just a player that will play H.265 6K 60FPS smoothly like for M3P, where we can encode with H.264.
Very happy!!!

Congratulations.

Mine is still sitting in customs in a warehouse in Louisville, KY where it's been since the 13th. DJI support has stopped responding to my requests so short of spending another $4500 to attempt to buy a different one I'm just hanging out to dry.

Where did you order yours from? Was this a Mavic 4 Pro?

Wow Bud- 9 drones!!! I have two and don't have time for more than one.
My wife asked how many I've flown in the last two months. The answer was 5 of them. I fly my old Avata2 in dicey situations where I'm a bit worried I might kill it. Same with my older Mav3 but now I may sell the Mav 3 and use my Mav3 Pro for "dicey situations" which could be flying in 40mph wind or snowy conditions or something like that. I did some flying through kids playground toys and used the older Avata for that since I was trying to move through it as quickly as possible. The only drone I really don't use much at all anymore is the FPV and the old Phantom 2 Vision. I was shocked to see the batteries on the Phantom were still working and ¾ charged!! It's been a few years. I'm planning on resurrecting it and flying it just for fun. It has a range of something like 300m if I recall.

To be clear, you live in Alaska, so the USA?
Yes... They will have a 1 year warranty but it's important to understand that is for a manufacturing defect and has nothing to do with the more common run it into a tree or drop and break the gimble kind of problem. The biggest worry I have is no the cost of repair it is simply getting the replacement back if I do damage it. People are sending drones off for repair and then having them stuck in customs forever. I'll pay for my mistake if I break it but will it ever/even get back to me? I advise State Farm or other insurance as a way to get your money back so you can then order another from Adorama or something ;0. The caveat on that is once you use insurance like State Farm to replace your drone i'm told they will cancel you immediately :)...no..wait.... :(.

I had State Farm policy on my drones before there was Care Refresh. I continued the policy's even after .. 10 years.. One time disaster hit, they paid $1100 and canceled my policy. Also they will not give me new policy a few years later. It's one and done with them.

Are you going to run into limitations with the European drones ???
I'm not finding any. I did a flight and got further away than I realized at one point (and came back a good bit) and I've seen no difference in terms of it being limited in any way. I use the long lens a -lot- and now the Dlog on all lenses just makes me giddy.

I've been warned about that so I will not bother using it unless I have a fly-away, theft or complete loss on the Mav4 Pro.

This is true for several situations in insurance companies. And I add. After a year, I can re-enter the same insurance company and re-insure the thing (movable property, car, drone, etc.). How insurance companies work, as I understand it, is the same. Even though the damage is completely justified, they terminate the insurance and you have to choose another insurance company. After a year, I re-insure with this cheaper insurance company, where the insurance was terminated.
