New Michigan drone laws (proposed bill)

2026 is the year of drone legislation (with a month early start in December). Once again, a state is proposing new legislation to control drones including a drone registry (likely to be used to facilitate confiscation), allowing important people to take down drones, the usual trespassing over private property, drone geofencing (to make it impossible to fly anywhere) along with an MDOT drone app, and of course new felonies for all violators. Recreational pilots won't stand a chance; part 107 pilots beware.

The speaker says drones are the wild, wild West. Talk about hysteria, listen to the speaker in the video below proclaim he's just looking out for his state (which to me is a reference to the FAA failing to do so since much of this is already covered).
