Please don't take this wrong, but I think what Filmarik and certainly I may be tiring of is the appearance of perhaps the unintended dismissal of the severity of these degraded image samples in using terms like discriminating or just get another one and it will likely be better. I can't imagine anyone even paying $1300 being happy with these cases and as more of these reports surface, and they seem to be, well then it might be more widespread than it is not.

I have never seen any lens from any camera maker deliver results as bad as some that I have seen from other's Mavic 3 main cameras and the two I have used thus far. The bad examples I have seen well exceed what I would consider normal sample variation in what are admittedly hard to engineer and manufacture drone cameras.

I sincerely hope there are a lot more good examples than bad out there, people pay a pretty penny for these and deserve to get what they pay for.
All due respect, but you don't speak for everyone. Not everyone is paying for a perfect stills camera on the M3. If that is your sole measure of the quality and benefits of the Mavic 3, you are unique. Its fortes are its realistic 35 minute flight time, 4/3 sensor, capable of wonderful low light photography and video, a useable 7x telephoto camera, and 9 mile range, in a small package compared to the Inspire and P4P. That's what they are paying for! If your pixel peeping standards exceed that of your perception of the M3 aircraft's camera capabilities, and the rest of the benefits have absolutely no value to you, then you should look elsewhere, or keep using what you have. "Severity of degraded image samples" is subjective and selective. Hundreds of thousands of Mavic 3's have been sold to now happy owners, and to many to professional cinematographers, and most have them have found a place in their kit for the Mavic 3. It may not be perfect, but nothing else is either. It simply appears to not be for you.

We'll simply have to agree to disagree on this one. No harm, no foul, ok?

I was wondering why I was seeing $1500 scalping prices on RC Pro's!
Amazon Warehouse has one with return privileges. Open box $1352.
Just checked. The DJI msrp is $1199 U.S. WOW!!! Are people getting ripped off!!

Let us know!
So I got my 3rd M3 Cine Tuesday and gave it a real good testing. On balance it is not quite as good as M3TEST’s files but darn close, just a bit gushy in the lower right corner compared to his. I had to *really* take my time comparing since he had sky in the upper 12% of the image area.

But the good news is that I can work with it, it’s a bit better than my Mavic 2 Pro overall and that is really what I was after. The tele-cam is good as one would expect in terms of uniformity and the operation is sound. I have already done two jobs with it and I am feeling like this is the one to keep, so this ends my saga.

Thanks for the support everyone!

Congrats. It was quite a journey for you to get there!! I am still weighing if I should order one or not since your experience and those samples I saw from other owners somehow made me think that getting a good one (like the one M3TEST has) might not be all that common.

To be honest, it is the telephoto cam in this rig I can't live without. When done right, it is wonderfully powerful...

Now I am getting really perplexed. Wasn't the wide angle camera main source of your dissatisfaction? You never seemed to had complained about the telefoto one. Anyway, I suppose the main thing is that you now have a drone you are happy with and you can get on with your business and travel plans 🙂. I am still thinking of trading in my Inspire2 for the M3🙆‍♂️

In order for me to not have to take another drone with the wide angle in it additionally to the 3, the main camera on the 3 needed to be at a certain level or it too, would be a one trick pony.

DJI is selling us pliers and a hammer, therefore, I expect to get pliers and a hammer...

Can you share a few DNGs from the wide angle camera? I'd love to have a look at them and put them next to the "benchmark" M3TEST shots.

All's well that ends well! Glad you persevered, and that it meets your discriminating standards, too! That's saying a lot! DJI should use that in their advertising! "KS-6 approved!" Thumbswayup Now, if we can only get Filmarik on board, too!

LOL. I am getting closer to making my move 🙂. I"ll keep you posted guys, it might even happen next week.
But to be perfectly honest the sheer thought that I would get unlucky like KS-6 and get one with fuzzy corners or worse, keeps me awake at night...🥴
Start praying for me to break the spell, will you?

Trust, but verify!
Point being, it's worth whatever trouble is necessary to get a good one! You'll thank us later! They do exist!
Ohhhmmmm. Ohhhmmmm.
