New pilot from Ct.

Checking in from Connecticut. New flying noob so please be gentle. Getting started with a new to me DJI Mini SE.

Welcome! I grew up in CT, live in CA, and I have long wanted to capture my childhood places in CT by drone, if possible. I've got four drones over about 5 years now and my advice to you is:
1. Have fun flying! It's so much fun just to fly the thing and see what you normally can't see, forget about photos and video.
2. Capture great photos and video! So much fun to share with friends.
3. Learn how to be safe! It will really pay off - read, watch, take the tests - you want to know how to be safe.
4. Use this community to learn - many really helpful and experienced folks here.
