You picked a winner in the Mini. Don't be fooled by its small size and low price. It's a high performance quad with a good camera. At 249 grams, the Mini doesn’t buck the wind as well as beefier drones, On windy days, it’s best to fly so you’ll have a tailwind on the way back. Read the manual, and practice using the “Find My Drone” App. Chances are you’ll crash and perhaps lose your Mini. Don't wait until that happens to learn how to recover a lost drone.

I hope DJI updates the Fly App with larger fonts to make it easier to read. Some of our members have trouble with it.

This is so much fun that sometimes we get carried away...but....Crashing is not an option don't get close to things and you won't bump into them. I know... Easy to say ..but when you think about it..easy to do.
After you get comfortable, find an good open spot with a decent landing area and practice flying in gusty winds..it'll make a believer out of you as to why you don't want to launch off into the wild blue in those conditions, but also, it will give you confidence in yourself and the drone that you can't get any other way.
