Is what I'd like as lighting....

So, I also got the standalone Strobons and put a green one under the right "armpit" and a red one under the left "armpit" with a small bit of velcro. When in flight they really do help, especially at dusk. They look like a 747 coming in on approach.

That's kinda why I did that, orientation and easier LOS.

Yea, I think lack of orientation causes the majority of crashes. I put a really neat kit on my old tbs endurance that I bought from hobbyking. Very bright

Why doesn't DJI have them stock like a air plane I have always wondered that

Because they are not an aviation company. I suspect with rule making they will begin to adopt more "aviation" oriented lighting, not to mention language.
